Meet Our Team
Doug Wolff attended St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota Dental School. Dr. Wolff has practiced general dentistry in the St. Croix Valley since 1998, when he joined his father’s dental practice. Dr. Wolff has a particular interest in orthodontics and dedicates himself to keep pace with the latest advancements in orthodontic treatment.
While working as a dentist, Dr. Wolff attended William Mitchell College of Law in the evenings and received his law degree in 2006. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, serving on several state-wide committees and work groups.
Dr. Wolff and his wife Sara live in St. Paul and have two children, Maverick and Olympia.
Dr. Kristy Petersen grew up in Hugo, MN and attended Mahtomedi schools. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse she continued to the University of Minnesota for Dental School and joined this practice after completion of the program. Dr. Petersen practices at both St. Croix Valley Dental and City Walk Dental.
Dr. Petersen lives in Woodbury and was recently married to her husband Brett. She enjoys running, reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Amy DeYoung received her Dental Degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, after attending St. Olaf College for her undergraduate liberal arts degree. She is a member of the Amercian Dental Association and Minnesota Dental Association. Amy enjoys dentistry, because she likes to work with her hands, and give patients the quality and precision care they deserve. She and her husband, Darren, live in Hugo and are expecting their first child. In her free time, she partakes in many outdoor activities, like tennis, scuba diving, and hiking. Her favorite cavity causing treats are rice krispy bars.
Barry Stromberg graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with honors in June of 1998. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Minnesota. Recently he has received training in laser dentistry and has earned an Associate Fellowship in the World Clinical Laser Institute. He is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Stromberg currently practices in the Stillwater and Somerset offices. He lives in Mahtomedi with his wife Adrienne, daughter Ella and son Hans. He enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, travel and cooking.
Christopher Browning lives in Stillwater and practices in the Stillwater and Somerset locations. After graduating with honors from Minnesota in 1998, he completed a residency in Hospital Dentistry at Denver Health Medical Center. While experienced in most facets of dentistry, he most enjoys endodontics (root canal therapy). At first this seems perhaps an odd choice, but Dr. Browning says, “Most people who need rootcanal therapy are in pain, and nervous about what the treatment will be like. There is nothing more rewarding than getting someone whom is apprehensive and hurting feeling better again…painlessly.”
He and his wife Amy (who also practices dentistry with Northern Dental Parnters) have three children. Sophie is seven, Adam is five and Nathan is three. They enjoy time at the cabin up north and “playin Legos.”
Chris also teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Hudson and likes to run, play the guitar, read and think about how affordable dentistry can be available to more people.
Dr. Lori Gmeinder is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental school and additionally completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Before attending dental school, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and worked as a water resources engineer in Edina, Minnesota.
Dr. Gmeinder (formerly Leitheiser) is from Stillwater and is happy to be back in the area practicing at both Lake Elmo Dental and St. Croix Valley Dental.
Dr. Brandon Ranvek graduated with a BA degree from St. Olaf College in 2003 and received his DDS degree from the University of Minnesota in 2007. He is a current member of the American Dental Association and Minnesota Dental Association. Brandon enjoys teaching as an adjunct clinic faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and also serves as a dental product advisor for 3M. He stays current through continuing education and elective coursework in Cosmetic Dentistry (veneers, tooth colored fillings, whitening) and Endodontics (root canals).
Brandon lives in Eagan and practices at Rosemount Dental and St. Croix Valley Dental. He is a perfectionist and takes great pride in performing quality, long lasting dental work with the goal of exceeding expectations.
Away from the office, Brandon enjoys being outdoors, rock climbing, traveling, and learning about cars.
Heather Schute graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry after receiving her undergraduate degree from North Central Bible College in Minneapolis.
She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Heather lives in North St. Paul with her husband Rick. She enjoys gardening, traveling and reading. She currently practices at St. Croix Valley Dental.
